Argentum is a series of works created using pure silver (Ag 999) as the central material. The artist engages with the physical and chemical properties of the metal, allowing it to settle, oxidize, and interact with canvas, time, and air. Through a process of controlled spontaneity, the surface evolves organically—forming mineral-like crusts, eroded paths, iridescent burns, and elemental fractures. Each piece is not just an image, but a record of a process, a silent imprint of material transformation. As the artist notes: “I just create the conditions—then the painting forms itself.” In this way, “Argentum” bridges art and natural science, inviting the viewer to contemplate not only form, but the hidden forces that shape it.
