The present lot is closely related to a design originally registered with the prolific Parisian bronzier Denière and was produced by François Linke in two sizes and various types of marble. One of the two pieces made is in our gallery.
This centerpiece by Francois Linke is made from a single piece of very rare Corset Napoleonite marble. Shades of grey, white and green are reminiscent of the sea foam of the Mediterranean Sea that washes the shores of Corsica.
